Cita Previa Extranjería in Valencia: ICP, Email, Stations
Need an appointment in Valencia? For a NIE, TIE or EU registration certificate, book on the ICP website for the police station. For initial in-person requests, the Oficina de Extranjería wants an email instead. The two systems are separate, and the Oficina does not manage police appointments.

Booking a foreigners’ appointment in Valencia? Two separate systems apply: the police station and the Oficina de Extranjería do not share one calendar.
Which office do you need?
The ICP system books appointments to file authorisations at foreigners offices, which the Delegaciones and Subdelegaciones del Gobierno run. Appointments for procedures before the Policía Nacional are a separate system run by the Dirección General de la Policía.

The Valencia Oficina de Extranjería does not issue the TIE, the NIE, resident or non-resident certificates or EU registration certificates. These go to a police station.
| Procedure | Where | How to get the slot |
|---|---|---|
| NIE on request | Police station | ICP website |
| TIE for non-EU residents | Gremis, 6 | ICP website |
| EU registration certificate | Bailén, 9 | ICP website |
| Arraigo, family of a Spanish citizen, family reunification | Oficina de Extranjería | Email request |
| Gender violence or humanitarian reasons | Oficina de Extranjería | Separate email address |
Book the police appointment on ICP
For a TIE, EU certificate or NIE, the cita previa comes from the ICP website. The foreigner or an authorised representative makes the request.

- Pay the fee first. The Modelo 790 código 012 form is for Dirección General de la Policía procedures, such as fingerprinting at the police. Generate it on the police sede.
- Pay it at a bank, savings bank or credit cooperative; you need no account there.
- On the ICP site, select the province and the procedure, enter your identity data and book.
- Keep the receipt number of the appointment. You need it to check or cancel the booking.
- Go to the station for your address with the form and the fee receipt (below).
Forms and fees
Each police procedure has its own form, and each needs proof of payment of the fee.
| Procedure | Form | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| NIE on request | EX15 | €9.84 |
| TIE, first grant of temporary residence | EX17 | €16.08 |
| TIE, renewal of temporary residence | EX17 | €19.30 |
| TIE, long-term residence | EX17 | €21.87 |
| TIE, family of a Spanish national | EX17 | 12 € |
| EU registration certificate | EX18 | €12.00 |
Bring the payment receipt with the form.

Need the Oficina de Extranjería? Request by email
For now, in-person appointments at the Valencia Oficina de Extranjería are requested by email to citaextran.valencia@correo.gob.es. The arrangement is temporary, to cut waiting time at the office, and has no published end date.

Email the EX form for your procedure and the documents. Send them as PDF, preferably in one file. The office replies with an automatic receipt confirmation.
The email route covers these procedures:
- Arraigo (second chance, socio-labour, social, family or socio-training).
- Residence of a family member of a Spanish citizen.
- Family reunification.
- Residence of a minor born in Spain, and of a minor not born in Spain.
- The initial EU family-member card.
Gender-violence and humanitarian authorisations use citahumanitaria.valencia@correo.gob.es.
If a document is missing, the department emails you. The appointment notice comes to the same address you wrote from. In the table updated to 05/10/2026, the office was handling arraigo appointment requests sent on 24/09/2026.
The request mailbox gives no general information as a rule. Send questions to infoex.valencia@correo.gob.es with your personal data, your NIE if known and the reason.

Where and when
The Oficina de Extranjería, Sede 1, is at Calle Diputada Clara Campoamor, corner Motilla de Palancar, 23, 46019 València. Hours are Monday to Friday 9h to 14h in general and Monday to Thursday 9h to 17h with an appointment. From 16 June to 15 September it opens 8,30h to 14,30h.
Sede 2 is at Calle Joaquín Ballester, 39, open Monday to Friday 9h to 14h.
Renewals, filings and file status
Renewals, document submissions and appeals filed by yourself go preferably through the electronic MERCURIO application.

Without a digital certificate or Cl@ve, you can file at the Oficina registry at C/ Joaquín Ballester 39, with a cita previa booked on the ICP OIACR page.
Gestores, lawyers and social graduates cannot file in person for you, because they must deal with the administration electronically. If your case is complex, such as a refusal or an arraigo with gaps in the paperwork, hire one to file online for you.
Check the status of a file on the infoext2 page. “No information found” can mean the application is pending entry into the database. A filing receipt does not mean the entry is immediate.
You can also ask for the status on 902 02 22 22; this is informative only. A status text message goes to 638444386. EU citizens cannot use the online status service and ask the office that processed their card.
What if the app shows no appointments?
“No hay citas disponibles en este momento” means every appointment at that office is booked. Check again later. Availability depends on each office.

Call 060 for any question about the cita previa for extranjería. Use the sede’s incident form only for technical faults in the booking.
Not every foreigners office uses the ICP system. If yours is missing from the list, contact the office.
Lost your receipt or need to cancel?
To cancel, open the application with the same data you used to book, choose cancel and enter the receipt number. To find a lost receipt, select the province and procedure, enter your identity data and choose the option to check an appointment.

You can have the receipt number sent again to the email you used. Check the spam folder if it does not arrive. You cannot change the phone number or email on a booking online; contact the office the appointment is with.
After the appointment: TIE deadline and next reads
If a general-regime visa or authorisation lets you stay over six months, apply for the TIE in person within one month of entry or of the grant. The Organic Law sets the same deadline. On a digital nomad visa you need no TIE while you live on the visa; you apply once your residence authorisation is granted for more than six months.

Renewals and extensions from the València Oficina take full effect before the TIE exists. So do initial grants whose effect does not depend on Social Security registration or a visa. You still apply for the TIE within one month of the grant.
Next, read TIE card in Valencia and NIE appointment in Valencia.
For the difference between the number and the card, read NIE vs TIE. Register on the padrón first with the empadronamiento guide, because a TIE address change later needs the certificate.

Common questions
Why does the ICP app say there are no appointments?
Because every appointment at that office is currently booked. Availability depends on each office. Check again later. You present the papers at the police station for your place of residence.
Can the Oficina de Extranjería book my TIE or NIE appointment?
No. The Valencia Oficina does not manage police-station appointments and cannot give information on them. Card, NIE, certificate and EU registration procedures go to the police station. Book those on the ICP website.
Can a gestor or lawyer file in person for me at the Oficina?
No. Personal filing through representation by gestores, lawyers or social graduates is not permitted, because they are obliged to deal with the administration electronically. Initial applications filed by yourself need an emailed appointment request with the form and documents attached.
How do I cancel an ICP appointment?
Open the cita previa application with the same data you used to book, then choose cancel and enter the appointment receipt number. You cannot change the phone or email on a booking online, so contact the office the appointment is with.
What if I lost my appointment confirmation?
Select the province and procedure, enter your identity data and choose the option to check an appointment with your receipt number. If the email never arrived, check the spam folder. Without access to that email address, contact the office.
How much do the NIE and TIE fees cost?
A NIE on request costs €9.84. A TIE for a first grant of temporary residence costs €16.08, and a renewal €19.30. Pay with Modelo 790 código 012 at a bank, with no account needed.
Does my permit start before the TIE card arrives?
Yes for renewals, extensions and initial grants whose effect does not depend on Social Security registration or a visa. Those decisions of the València Oficina take full effect before the TIE is issued. You still apply for the TIE within one month of the grant.
